Information

The wintry west extends his blast,
And hail and rain does blaw;
Or the stormy north sends driving forth
The blinding sleet and snaw:
While, tumbling brown, the burn comes down,
And roars frae bank to brae;
And bird and beast in covert rest,
And pass the heartless day.
In the Beginning
Mankind failed miserably, draining the earth of it's life so foolishly, all seemed to perish, leaving the earth to be a dry, barren wasteland that eventually claimed the lives of nearly everything that once lived.
The Gods and Spirits watched woefully as the pure creatures suffered for man's foolish ways. From their tears and mournful songs the planet began to grow again. Each God was given his or her chance to grace the reborn earth with whatever he or she pleased, most of the gifts reflected upon what the God was known for. Now, these Gods were not the ones humans had spoken of, but the Gods of the animals. When all was finally done after what seemed like ages of recreating the new world, a world that humans would not have the chance to ruin, it seemed nearly perfect.
The Gods began to restore animals to the earth but even they were limited in what they could do. A great deal of animals were unable to be brought back to the new world and so they decided upon the most noble and beautiful creature that they defined as true magnificence to begin the world with: wolves. Two spirits were descended upon the newly formed earth, the essence and spirit of all the wolves that had lived true and free. The pair were named Ouranos and Gaia, Gaia was to be the mother of all wolves and Ouranos the father. In just a century's time the population of wolves had grown from two mere spirits. The wolves that had been created from these spirits were pure of heart, the noble creatures the Wolves' Gods had tried so hard to resurrect. The Gods eventually began to restore other animals to the earth as well but the wolves were to remain supreme.
